GOOD TO KNOW

A few quick answers.

How is anime watch time calculated?

We subtract the episodes you have watched from the total, multiply the remaining episodes by the average runtime minus any intro and outro time you skip, then divide by playback speed. For example, 24 unwatched episodes at 24 minutes each take 576 minutes: 9 hours and 36 minutes.

How many days will it take to finish?

The calculator divides your remaining watch time by your daily viewing budget and rounds up. At 60 minutes a day, a 9-hour-36-minute season takes about 10 watching days. This is a viewing-time estimate: it allows partial episodes and assumes you watch every day. Breaks and days off will extend the calendar time.

Can I calculate the time to catch up on a long-running anime?

Yes. Enter the current episode total for the series or arc you want to watch, then add the number you have already completed. If new episodes are still releasing, update the total when you return. This calculator uses your inputs rather than a live anime catalog.

What about films, specials, and different episode lengths?

Use a separate calculation for films or specials with a different runtime, or enter a weighted average runtime for the episodes you plan to watch. Treat results as an estimate when episode lengths vary. The season presets set an episode count; they do not select a specific anime.
